Plympton residents gather tonight for Annual Town Meeting.
The annual warrant has 34 articles including one asking for Community Preservation funds for a number of projects including the renovation of the Former Winnetuxet Swimming Hole Area and for potential land acquisitions.
Article 31 is a request to amend the town’s bylaws by adding a new “Public Gathering Bylaw”.
The bylaw change would mandate that no individual, group of people or corporation can participate in a gathering of more than 250 people unless a permit has first been obtained from the Board of Selectmen.
Article 32 is a bylaw change concerning medical marijuana facilities in town.
The Special Town meeting warrant has seven articles,
Article 1 is about entering into agreements for payments-in-lieu-of-taxes for solar photovoltaic facilities on privately owned land in town.
The other six articles are money transfers.
Plympton Town Meeting convenes at 7:00 p.m. at the Dennett Elementary School.
