Brockton: Three people arrested in drug bust

Three Brockton residents nabbed in a big drug bust, including one of the city’s top career criminals, will appear in court on Monday.

The suspects were arrested last Thursday night.

One of them, 44-year-old Michelle Harding, was let out of a car and apparently propositioned undercover officers, who found two bags of heroin on her.

The car was stopped a short distance away and the driver, 24-year-old Marquis Gibbs, was nabbed on drugs charges as well as driving with a suspended license.

Gibbs, whom police said had two cell phones and $6,000 in cash on him, is on Brockton’s Top 50 list of repeat offenders.

24-year-old Sharod Colwell, a passenger in the car, was arrested on a default warrant charging him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

All three will appear in Brockton District Court.
