Carver police are investigating a bizarre accident that left a pickup truck in the water!

At around 3:40 p.m. Saturday police responded to South MeadowVillage for a report of a vehicle completely submerged in approximately eight feet of water in Ward Pond.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, 59-year-old Debra Titus of Plymouth, was out of the vehicle, but her two dogs were still inside.

Officer David Harriman, an avid dog lover, told WATD he dove into the murky water and managed to open a door of the truck  and rescue one of the dogs.

The other dog died in the accident.
