Dedham: Weymouth man to be arraigned on child porn charges

An ex-state employee who worked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, accused of using his office computer to share and store child pornography, is being arraigned today in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham

48 year-old Andrew Fanguiaire of Weymouth was arrested in January, and indicted last month on four counts each of possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography.

According to the State Police, officers assigned to Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office arrested him on January eighth after allegedly finding child pornography on a thumb drive in his desk drawer at his office in Quincy.

He reportedly told police that he had more devices at home containing child pornography.

The investigation began when the state Department of Transportation’s Informational Technology division suspected that a computer that had been assigned to him may have been use in obtaining inappropriate material.

He was immediately suspended from his job and then later resigned from his position as program coordinator at the Registry of Motor Vehicles’ merit rating board in North Quincy.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
