Hingham: 5 candidates being considered for school committee seat

Hingham selectmen and the School Committee meet tonight to interview five candidates for a seat on the town’s School Committee.

One of the candidates, Carol Falvey, is a former member of the School Committee.

The two boards may even make a decision tonight as to who they will appoint to the School Committee to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Paul Gannon, who won a seat on the board of selectmen in the April annual town election.

The candidate selected would serve on the School Committee until next year’s annual election.

Tonight’s meeting is scheduled for 6:30 at Hingham Town Hall.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
