KIngston: Town Meeting reconvenes tonight

Kingston voters are returning tonight to approve a budget and other financial articles due to continuing concerns about the sustainability of the proposed Silver Lake budget.

There is a four article Special Town Meeting warrant that residents will address.

Article 1 is a land transfer of town-owned land to the Conservation Commission to complete mitigation requirements for the construction of a new senior center.

Article 2 is for inter-and-intra departmental funds transfers.

Article 3, if it passes, will establish a Municipal Affordable Housing Trust.

Article 4 asks voters to approve the establishment of a Silver Lake Regional School District Stabilization Fund to be used for future regional school district projects.

Kingston Town meeting reconvenes at 7:00 tonight at the Kingston Intermediate School.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
