Rockland: Man charged with stabbing his wife to death being arraigned today

A Rockland man is being arraigned today in Hingham District Court on charges that he stabbed his wife to death, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz and Rockland Police Chief John Llewellyn. Just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rockland Police received a call saying that a woman had been stabbed at 189 Moncrief Road.  When police arrived, they found a woman lying in the driveway suffering from an apparent stab wound, with neighbors attending to her. The victim, identified as 52 year old Patricia Langley, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.  Her husband, 56 year old  Richard Langley, was placed under arrest and charged with murder. The death is under investigation by the state police assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Rockland Police.
