Boston: Special Olympics Volunteers Go Over The Edge

Emily’s Edgers, a group organized by Marshfield’s Lenny Coppenrath, participated in the Massachusetts Special Olympics Over the Edge fundraiser this weekend.

This time each year, they jump over the edge of the 24-story Hyatt Regency Hotel in Boston and rappel down ropes. People pay them $50,000 to do it.

Coppenrath goes over the edge in costume – this year in recognition of the Boston Firefighters Union which supplies many of the event volunteers.

Coppenrath says thank you to everyone that helped make this happen. WATD’s Christine James sat down with Lenny for details.
