Plymouth: Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested in Middleboro

A Middleboro man faces charges after allegedly robbing a Plymouth Walmart on Tuesday afternoon. Plymouth Police were alerted to an armed robbery yesterday at 12 p.m. at the Walmart located in Colony Place.

An individual, later identified as 30-year-old Michael Lajoie, reportedly handed a note to an employee that said he had a gun and wanted money. Lajoie fled the area in a motor vehicle that was spotted and identified by a store security camera.

According to Plymouth Police Captain Jon Rogers, an alert went out to neighboring communities. Lajoie was eventually pulled over by Middleboro police and taken into custody.

Rogers says other than armed robbery, he expects Lajoie to face additional charges as he also had drugs in his possession at the time of his arrest.
