Cohasset: Recreation Campers Experience ‘Law Enforcement Day’

SWAT cars, police choppers and K9s – it sounds like a serious incident, but it was all in good fun at Deer Hill School in Cohasset on Monday (August 10) for the Recreation Camp’s “Law Enforcement Day.”

Cohasset’s School Resource Officer, Sgt. Mike Lopes, helped pull the event together.

After starting his new position on July 1st and spending the summer working at the Deer Hill School’s Rec. Camp, Lopes helped arrange “Law Enforcement Day.”

That’s Jenna McCarthy, Recreation Assistant at Day Camp.

Sgt. Lopes said he’s enjoyed spending his summer at Rec. Camp.

Mike Peraino, a Cohasset resident who happens to be Hingham’s recently retired Police Chief, was at Law Enforcement Day to support his son-in-law, Patrick Reardon, Cohasset’s K9 Officer.

This is the last week of Rec. Camp in Cohasset – then Sgt. Lopes will start working full-time in Cohasset schools.
