W. Bridgewater: House Fire Displaces Family of Six

A West Bridgewater family of six is looking for a new place to live after their house is gutted by fire last Friday night.

Deputy Fire Chief Kenny May tells WATD the flames broke out at 381 Spring St. at approximately 6:30 p.m.

He says the fire was electrical, and began in a ceiling vent fan in a first floor bathroom.

The fire went to two alarms, and caused so much damage, it cannot be renovated.

No one was hurt.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family at www.gofundme.com/sbx323v5, and so far, more than $25,000 has been raised.
