Rockland: One Person Freed From Overturned Vehicle

A weekend motor vehicle crash in Rockland on sends one person to the hospital. The Rockland Fire Department received a call Saturday night at 10:26pm reporting a car into a pole at 593 Beech Street.

Police were forced to close the road so emergency crews worked to free one individual from the overturned vehicle. Rockland Fire Lieutenant Dan Delprete says a call for additional help was needed at the scene.

 “Ambulance Two, Engine One responded. Upon arrival, Lt Sammon requested box be struck, as they had an entrapment and Engine Three responded to the scene,” Delprete explains. “Units worked for several minutes to free the party from the vehicle.”  

 One party was transported to South Shore Hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
