Two young men will appear in Quincy District Court on Monday, charged with breaking into a house in Cohasset.

Arrested Saturday afternoon were 21-year-old Patrick O’Toole of Scituate and 23-year-old Michael Ricci of Hanover.

Earlier in the day officers stopped the pair, who had been hitchhiking and walking in traffic on Rte. 3A near Pond St, and were released after being given a warning.

Later in the afternoon, a Cohasset resident called police to report discovered two men with backpacks entering his kitchen through a rear door.

The resident confronted the two and they claimed they were looking for their lost dog, then ran off.

The pair, identified as O’Toole and Ricci, were found near the intersection of Jerusalem Rd. and Bow St.

Ricci was free on bail in an unrelated armed home invasion in Weymouth on October 19th.
