MA: Nor’Easter Slams South Shore

Flooding in Brant Rock

Flooding in Brant Rock

The Nor’easter that swept through the area has brought heavy rain and high winds raising concerns about flooding, especially with the morning’s high tide,  leading many communities to put road closures in place.

WATD‘s Ed Perry ran into Steve Barber, of Marshfield Department of Public Works, near the Esplanade in Brant Rock and he told Mr. Perry they were bringing in crews so road closures can begin.

Over in Scituate, Town Administrator Patricia Vinchesi told WATD News they implemented road closures as well and urged residents to watch out for potential flooding.

WATD’s Larry Nelson reported high tides in Plymouth saying he saw waters receding on Warren Ave. and closures on Plymouth Beach.

Even though the tides are going out in many areas there is still debris left on the road and motorists are advised to proceed carefully.
