Hingham: Keeping Weir River Watershed Healthy

Accord Pond sits off Route 3 at 228 on the Hingham/Rockland line. It supplies 15% of the water supply for Hingham, Hull and part of Cohasset. Eleven wells throughout Hingham provide the rest. It all comes from the Weir River Watershed. The Hingham Land Conservation Trust and the Town of Hingham recently acquired land that will help keep the watershed healthy. The trust invited the public to the Hingham Library Thursday night to learn more.
