Braintree: Teen charged with Vandalizing Archbishop Williams Football Field, Police Trying to Identify Others Involved

Braintree Police are now going to be regularly patrolling the Archbishop Williams football field after teens vandalized the property.

Police arrived at the field on Saturday night to find several teenagers fleeing the scene and one teen under the influence of alcohol driving a stolen 4 wheel drive ATV on the field.

The ATV was stolen from a shed on the property after the teen broke a window to get inside, then proceeded to drive the ATV through the closed garage door to do donuts on the turf, causing extensive damages.

The teen, whose name isn’t being released since he’s a minor, is being charged with trespassing, breaking and entering, and vandalism.

Police found over 75 beer cans on the field and are currently reviewing camera footage to identify the other teens involved.

Braintree police say patrol units will be checking the field on a regular basis and anyone found trespassing will be subject to arrest.
