Halifax: Police Arrest Local Man For Leaving Suspicious Package

The all-clear was given Sunday afternoon, after a suspicious package was spotted in Halifax.

Police and fire personnel were sent to 295 Plymouth St. at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The building was evacuated and the State Police Bomb Squad was called in, which determined the package was not a threat.

40-year-old Jason Conroy of Halifax was arrested, and will appear in Plymouth District Court on Monday.

The motive is unknown and the incident remains under investigation.
