Plympton: Major Upgrades for the Police Station

The Plympton Police Station is now set for some major upgrades, to the tune of $3 million.

Voters approved the expansion of the Police Station at Plympton’s Annual Town Meeting on Wednesday night. The current police station lacks handicap access, a bullet-proof lobby, and a fire alarm, among other things.

Plympton Police Chief Patrick Dillon is thrilled that the updates are moving forward.

Other projects receiving approval at Plympton Town Meeting include the restoration of the historic Town Green Bandstand and the installation of a drinking water treatment system at Dennett Elementary School.

Plympton Town Elections will be held this Saturday, May 20 at the Plympton Town House from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
