Marshfield: Milton Man Pulled From Water Has Died

A man has died after being pulled from the waters off Rexhame Beach.

Marshfield Fire Chief William Hocking says that at around 2:20 p.m. Monday they received a call regarding a possible person in distress in the waters off Atlantic Ave.

Crews arrived on scene to find the victim on the shoreline with bystanders administering CPR.

Fire Department Paramedics and Marshfield Police Officers continued administering CPR while placing him an ambulance.

The victim, 63-year-old Walter Carr, of Milton was then transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth where he was later pronounced dead.
