Cohasset: Porch Fire On N. Main St.

Crews were called to the scene of a porch fire in Cohasset Saturday afternoon.

The fire took place around 1:30 p.m. at 264 N Main St.

Fire officials tell WATD News that the fire started on the front porch and extended to the porch roof and surrounding wall.

The fire was knocked down in roughly 20 minutes but crews remained on scene for roughly three hours.

The cause of the fire was determined to be a wood stove that was being operated on the porch.

Crews from Hingham assisted at the scene while Scituate provided station coverage.

Fire officials say the 2 1/2 story home was under renovation and no was living there at the time.

No injuries were reported.
