Halifax: Police Issue Warning Following Sexual Assault

Halifax Police are issuing a warning to residents following a sexual assault.

Chief Edward Broderick says a young woman was walking her dog on the bogs off Lingan St. around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when she was attacked by a man.

Broderick says that although they have not provided many details about the assault, they do have leads, and are not providing more information for the sake of the victim and to not compromise their investigation.

In the meantime Broderick is asking that anyone walking the area after dark, do it with a friend, or try to do their activities during the day.

Anyone with information on the incident is being asked to call Halifax Police.
