Plymouth County: State Hospital Guards Acquitted of Charges Concerning Inmate Death

Three former guards at Bridgewater State Hospital were recently acquitted of charges in the 2009 death of an inmate with schizophrenia.

Inmate Joshua Messier suffered heart failure after the guards strapped him to a bed.
