Hingham: Driver Hospitalized And Charged After Crash

One person has been hospitalized following a single car crash in Hingham.

Police say the crash took place at around 11 p.m. Thursday on Route 228 when a car drove off the road, struck a pole, and rolled onto its roof across the road.

The driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Although they were not arrested at the scene, police say the driver was summonsed to court for drunk driving.
