Plymouth: MASAC Escapee Captured

An escapee was apprehended after fleeing the Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center at the Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth.

Department of Corrections spokesman Christopher Fallon tells WATD News that at around 7:30 p.m. a civilly committed inmate at the detox facility knocked out a security window and eloped.

The inmate was apprehended roughly 30 minutes later on forest grounds and returned to the facility.

Fallon says the inmate has been in the facility since January 12, but further information regarding their identity hasn’t been released.
