Braintree: Operation ‘High Hopes’ Focuses on Infiltrating Drug Trafficking Rings

Braintree Police are saying the recent string of massive drug busts are the result of a specialized operation.

Braintree Chief of Police, Paul Shastaney, explains that Operation High Hopes consists of the Departments Drug Unit working cooperatively with DEA, State Police, and Local Police.

The investigation utilized wire-taps after approval from a Superior Court Judge resulted in the confiscation of over 30 kilograms of opiates, more than $200,000 cash, two firearms, multiple vehicles- and hit dealers at the cartel level.

Shastaney says Braintree’s Drug Unit Detectives are focused on infiltrating drug trafficking rings.
