Brockton: Man Hospitalized Following N. Montello St. Fire

One person was hospitalized following a fire in Brockton Tuesday night.

Fire officials tell WATD News that fire crews were dispatched to 159 N. Montello St. around 10:42 p.m. and, upon arrival, found smoke and a small fire coming from the mixed use commercial building.

Both occupants made it out of the building before crews arrived.

One of the occupants, described as a man in his mid-20’s, sustained a burn to his hip and had soot around his mouth.

He was taken to Brockton Hospital and the fire was knocked down quickly.

Officials say the cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the incident remains under investigation.
