Hingham: Police Department to Undergo Special Training

The Hingham Police Department will be undergoing special training to better handle cases dealing with those on the autism spectrum.

Chief Olsson says now, it is more important than ever for officers to be aware of, and have compassion for, specific behaviors with autism:

The Hingham Police Station will be having a special open house catered to individuals with autism so they can mingle with officers and explore.

That open house is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 3rd.
