Marshfield: Man Facing B&E Charges

A Pembroke man is facing burglary charges in connection with a series of burglaries.

Marshfield Police say that an officer saw a vehicle parked near Commerce Way and Enterprise Dr. around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, an area where there have been several Break-Ins and thefts of building materials.

Black gloves, wire cutters, a large flashlight, three sets of bolt cutters, and other tools commonly used in break-ins were found in the vehicle.

During a search of the area officers saw 40-year-old Craig Rogers emerging from the back of a closed business on Enterprise Dr. and began walking toward the vehicle, which is registered in his name.

Rogers was stopped and detained by officers who found a folding knife, flashlight, ski mask and gloves in his possession.

Officers also observed an open side door on the building that had been forced open.

Rogers was arrested on charges of Breaking and Entering Nighttime for a Felony, Possession of Burglarious Instruments,  and Use of a Motor Vehicle in a Felony/Larceny.

Police say they don’t believe that this incident is connected to recent nighttime house breaks.
