Marshfield: Selectmen Officially Close Green Harbor Restaurant

The Harbor Fire Bar & Grill on Dyke Road in Marshfield is the latest facility to join the restaurant graveyard.

Marshfield’s Board of Selectmen moved to officially close the restaurant on Monday night. According to Vice Chair of the Board of Selectmen, James Fitzgerald, this all stems from the Harbor Fire’s owners closing the restaurant without warning back in December:

Fitzgerald also discloses why he thinks the restaurant shut down so rapidly:

Although Fitzgerald did confirm that a new restaurant applicant will be at the next Selectmen’s meeting to acquire the liquor license, Marshfield residents have been having fun on the town’s official Facebook forum brainstorming new restaurant ideas in Harbor Fire’s place.

Some of residents’ top picks included a new Mexican restaurant, the return of the old Compass Rose, and even a Hooters.
