Quincy: Two Arrested Following Multi-Town Chase

Two people are under arrest following a chase through multiple towns Tuesday night.

Quincy Police say the incident began in West Quincy when members of the Drug Control Unit approached a woman who it’s believed was involved in a drug transaction.

The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Kimberly Haskins of Quincy, then fled to a nearby red van and the driver identified as 50-year-old Alfred Iannaco of Hull, sped away from the scene driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid police vehicles.

At one point the van struck another vehicle and was travelling on what appeared to be a rim with sparks and smoke shooting out.

Officers pulled back to a safe distance but observed the van strike another vehicle after crossing the double yellow line.

At one point van drove onto I-93 South before eventually being stopped by the Massachusetts State Police on Minot St., Dorchester.

Both Haskins and Iannaco were placed under arrest and a crack pipe was recovered after the van was searched.

Haskins was charged with Possession of Class B (Subsequent Offense), Knowingly Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Person. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Iannaco is being charged with Possession of Class B (Subsequent Offense), Failure To Stop For Police, Leaving The Scene of Property Damage (2 Counts), Operating a M/V Recklessly, and Defacing Real or Personal Property.
