Plympton: Woman Killed In Crash

A Plympton woman has died following a two car crash Thursday night.
Plympton Police say that officers were dispatched to the area of County Rd. at approximately 6:11 p.m.
Upon arrival they found a Ford pickup truck that was engulfed in flames and a Nissan SUV that was partially overturned and resting on its driver’s side.
The driver of the SUV, identified as 52-year-old Diane Giordani, was trapped inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was Medflighted to a Rhode Island Hospital. His name is being withheld at this time pending further investigation.
Route 106 was closed for roughly for roughly eight hours with mutual aid being provided by Halifax Police, Kingston Police, Carver Police, Massachusetts State Police, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, Plympton Fire Department, and other area Fire Departments.
