Rockland: Police Warn of Craigslist Scam

Rockland Police are warning the public of a craigslist scam involving cashiers checks that has been brought to their attention

That’s Rockland Police Lietentant, Nicholas Zeoli (zee-oh-lee) who says a lot of these fraudulent transactions are conducted by people living overseas, making it difficult for victims to have any legal recourse

To avoid scams like these, it’s recommended to only accept cash in a safe location.

If you have fallen victim to a scam, report it to your local police department.
