Weymouth: Union Point Introducing Self-Driving Cars Pilot Program

Self-driving cars are coming to Weymouth.

Union Point developer LStar is partnering with Optimus Ride and will be introducing the vehicles as a pilot program.

That’s Division President of LStar Venture, Matthew Barry, who says the pilot program will start soon, with two or three self-driving vehicles

Barry envisions this technology allowing people who don’t otherwise have access to a vehicle more mobility options.

Currently 2,000 people live in Union Point, and there are hundreds of workers that Barry hopes will be able to utilize this technology in the future.
