One person was Med Flighted following a motor vehicle crash in Hanson on Thursday.

Police say that at approximately 10:16 a.m. several 911 calls were made reporting a motor vehicle crash in the area of Liberty St. (Route 58) and the Hanson Middle School.

Upon arrival emergency crews found a 2008 Pontiac Torrent had struck the rear of a tractor trailer.

Police say the Tractor Trailer, owned by Schafer Trucking of Dayton Ohio, was heading south on Liberty St. and stopped for a traffic light.

The driver of the Pontiac, a 50-year-old woman from Carver, did not stop and struck the rear of the trailer, telling police she had looked away from the road for a moment and did not see the truck stop.

Hanson Fire transported the woman to a landing zone at Indian Head School and Med Flight took her to a Boston hospital suffering from multi system trauma that did not appear to be life threatening.
