Whitman: Hanson Man Arrested After Police Pursuit

A Hanson man is facing charges after being pursued by officers Tuesday night.

Whitman Police tell WATD News that around 5:45 p.m. officers attempted to stop a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker on Auburn St.

Police say that at various times the vehicle would appear to be making a stop before it would keep going.

The vehicle was eventually stopped as it turned onto Washington St. and the suspect, 29-year-old Peter Landis, was placed under arrest on the following charges Failure to stop, Marked Lanes Violation, Reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and Expired inspection sticker.

Police say Landis also had a default warrant out of Taunton District Court.
