Marshfield: Man Pronounced Dead After Being Pulled From Water

A body was pulled from the water in Marshfield Monday afternoon.

Witnesses told WATD News a person was found floating face down in the water, in the area of the Brant Rock Jetty.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that Marshfield Police notified State Police Detectives assigned to their office around 4:05 p.m.

The victim, identified as a 48-year-old man, was located face down in the water approximately 30 yards away from the jetty.

His body was recovered by the Marshfield Harbormaster and lifesaving measures were performed.

He was then transported to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The District Attorney’s Office says foul play is not suspected.
