Saugus: Quincy Man Faces Second Set Of OUI Charges

A Quincy man was arrested on OUI charges for the second time on Thursday.

Massachusetts State Police say that at approximately 3:30p.m. a trooper observed a green Toyota Avalon driving erratically through traffic on Route 1 North in Saugus.

The trooper saw the Avalon swerving in and out of the right travel lane and breakdown lane nearly striking other vehicles.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver was unable to produce a driver’s license and initially, falsely identified himself and provided two false social security numbers.

An investigation later identified the driver as 40-year-old Kevin Works who had a suspended license.

Works was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia with residue believed to be a cocaine and a container of an alcoholic beverage.

Works was arrested on the following charges: Operating Under the Influence of Liquor, 2nd Offense; Possession of Class A, Subsequent Offense; Motor Vehicle Operator Refuse to Identify Self; Operating with a Suspended License; Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Possession of Open Container; Speeding; Passing Violation; and Breakdown Lane Violation.
