Plymouth: Controversy Over Launch Service in Harbor

All those boats in Plymouth Harbor every summer and people need a way to get to and from them. The launch service that does that may or may not operate this season. Last week selectmen began considering the idea of a town operated service. That has caused enormous controversy.  Some Town Meeting representatives object to the town interfering in the private sector. But, Plymouth advertises its harbor as a destination for boaters. The fight landed in the Harbor Committee Thursday night.
