A wanted fugitive is in custody after allegedly fighting with Wareham Police officers early Friday morning.

Chief John Walcek said that they received an alarm from a jewelry store shortly before 3 a.m.

Roughly 20 minutes later Walcek says a male suspect was spotted by Officer Aaron Pacheco.

Walcek says the 24-year-old Viera was then located at another home.

Vieira is a suspect in break-ins at two Wareham jewelry stores in October. He also defaulted on a Jan. 29 court date after being released on $3,500 bail.

Walcek says three other people were also arrested and charges are pending.
