The Happy Together Tour is coming to the South Shore Music Circus on Friday, July 15th at 7:30pm.
Come out for a night of some of the greatest pop rock hits of the 1960s including: The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie (“Happy Together”), The Association (“Cherish”), The Grass Roots (“Let’s Live for Today”), Mark Lindsay (former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders,”Louie, Louie”) and The Buckinghams (“Kind of a Drag”). I’ll have ticket trivia for you at 3:30 today!
A computer playing the same loop over and over again leads to a hit song for a British group. They get their name from a little known Top 10 hit in England. Every weekday at 5:30pm I play a classic track and share some fun facts about the song. Listen tonight!
The heat is on this week! Gorgeous summer sun and 80 degree days are here. I love this time of year don’t you? Everything seems to be more relaxed (even if it’s not). The longer days make it seem like I have more time to do things (even if I don’t). When we were kids, summer went on forever. Each day brought a new chance to do fun things. No more teachers, no more books. The hard part was deciding what to do first! A peanut butter and jelly sandwich was all you needed to wolf down before heading out for hours of more play time. As an adult, lunch centers around the question “What is the least fattening thing I can eat before going back to work?” Vacation lets me fall back into kid mode. I get up when I want to. I allow myself a few treats but not enough to earn the title of thunder thighs. And Mr. Dee and I take time to go on some fun day trips. I feel like a kid waiting for summer vacation to begin. Remember that feeling in grade school when you jumped for joy just BECAUSE? That’s where I am right now!
