Plymouth & Barnstable District: Senate President Murray wins re-election
Democratic Senate President Therese Murray was reelected to the Plymouth and Barnstable senate seat last night. Murray, of Plymouth has served in the state senate for 18 years. She won over Republican challenger Tom Keyes. The Plymouth and Barnstable state senate district, which includes Bourne, Falmouth, Kingston, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, Sandwich, and Barnstable precincts 10, 11 and 12.
12th Plymouth District: Calter wins third term
Democrat Tom Calter of Kingston will head into his third term in office after winning last night’s race for the 12th Plymouth District seat. Calter won over Republican Josepeh Truschelli of Plymouth. Kingston and Plympton, as well as Precinct 1 in Halifax, precincts 1 and 6 in Duxbury, precincts 1, 11 and 13 in Plymouth and precincts 1 and 5 in Middleborough.

Massachusetts: Ballot question would dump alcohol sales tax
