Spend some family time reviewing the latest Marshfield Recreation Department brochure. The Fall Community Brochure will be available Friday September 16 at 12noon. There will be many new programs and trips for the community, activities for ages 1 to 95. Registration begins when you access the brochure. Mail or drop off your completed registration form to the recreation office. For more information, call Marshfield Recreation Director Ned Bangs at 781-834-5543. Programs for all ages.

Check out the 3rd Annual Kids Touch A Truck day today from 10am to 2pm at Mid-Cape Home Centers in Plymouth!

Bring the whole family over to Norwell today for the South Shore Natural Science Center’s annual Corn Festival from 10am to 4pm. There will be hayrides, musical entertainment, crafters, children’s games, bouncy house, and Kernel’s Kitchen with their famous corn chowder and hot dogs.  Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, with a maximum of $20 per family. What would September be without the “Endless Summer Waterfront Festival” in Hull!? This 7th annual event is free and open to the public today from noon until 6pm and features over 70 vendors, 25 restaurants, 5 live bands and 30 tons of sand in the middle of Nantasket Ave for the Castles for Charities sand castle competition. Celebrate the opening of South Shore Hospital’s outpatient Center for Orthopedics, Spine and Sports Medicine which is set to open in October 2011. The event takes place today from 10am to 3pm at 2 Pond Park Road in Hingham.  It’s an event for the whole family featuring sports skill games, fitness clinics, injury prevention tops, car seat safety checks, facility tours, rock climbing wall, prizes, food, and entertainment. On Sunday come celebrate the 4th Annual Cohasset Day from 1pm-6pm. There is something for the whole family on Cohasset Day from classic cars to live music to art and fashion, food and fun for the kids too! There will be a decorated bicycle parade down main street and everyone is encouraged to decorate your bike and join the parade! There will be prizes for best Cohasset Spirit, best creative use of material and best in show. There is a Touch-A-Truck exhibit for the kids as well as games too!
