This Weekend:
It’s the annual Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra’s “Holiday Pops” concerts this weekend. Enjoy this festive family event featuring a wonderful selection of seasonal favorites.  Saturday’s concert is at 8pm. This weekend it’s “Christmas at the King Caesar House – Holiday House Tour” from 12noon to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. This annual event put on by the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society, will be held at The King Caesar House, 120 King Caesar Road in Duxbury. Check out the “Storybooks Come to Life” event this weekend at Colony Place in Plymouth. This weekend it’s the Berenstain Bear Kids and the “lion before he becomes king” from 11am to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Visit The Enchanted Storybook Village located inside La Z Boy where costumed characters help act out the stories, while professional storytellers read to the children. Bring your own camera for free pictures, view 20 amazing trees decorated like different storybook characters, send your letter to Santa & he’ll respond, bring a new or used book to help a worthy cause. Local children’s author Debbi Blackington will host a special reading of her latest book Gracie’s Ear at 2:30 p.m. at Westwinds Book Shop. Listen to “A Christmas Carol” a staged reading by the interpreters of Plimoth Plantation this evening at 7. This is a Fundraiser for the Francis Cooke House which was destroyed by fire on November 19. Free Admission – Donations gratefully accepted. Enjoy music, Bake sale goods & Hot Drinks while seeing the Plimoth Plantation role players in a whole new role! Come early and browse the Museum Shops which are open until 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.
