Check out the February School Vacation activities at Plimoth Plantation February 20th through the 24th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Their outdoor sites may be hidden under a blanket of snow, but our Visitor Center is open and brimming with hands-on family activities. It’s Kid’s Week at the Pilgrim Hall Museum from February 20th through the 24th. From 9:30am to 4:30pm check out the “Treasure Hunts”; From 10am to 1pm, there will be “Arts & Crafts”. Children can write with quill pens, make a dream catcher, design a Compass Rose, string wampum beads, and then explore the Museum while on a Treasure Hunt. Kids under 18 are FREE (must be accompanied by an adult). Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for AAA members & no fee for residents of Plymouth, MA. They’ll have music, hot chocolate, plus a chance to shoot on former Brockton High goalie Bud Duksta, cold weather tennis skills and drills and more! Marshfield has a great variety of conservation land. Why not spend a few hours or a day exploring the town and discover a hidden gem. Conservation maps are available at the Town Hall and Conservation Office. Dress for the weather, hike with a friend, and enjoy! Look for the guided Let’s Go hiking program this spring. They are also offering a Lego Engineering Event on Saturday, February 25th from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The event is geared for Boys and Girls grades 3 – 6. Check out “Tracks, Scat, and Nests” at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham on Tuesday, February 21st from 9:00 to 10:30am. Animal signs tell stories if we know how to read them. Watch an interactive slide show in the Visitor Center and guess who made the signs. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a hike outside searching for wildlife and the signs they left behind for you to discover. Please dress in warm clothes and winter boots. Program is free and meets at the Visitor Center on Union Street in Hingham.
