Looking for something fun for your children to do during spring break in a positive and supportive environment? The Soule Homestead Education Center is accepting registrations for children ages 5–10, in an outdoor farm-based nature vacation program. Dedicated to teaching children about our environment for over 22 years, the hands-on interactive program is designed to spark children’s life long interest in nature, build self-confidence and develop social skills. Located on 120-acres of pristine farm land, children in the program will look for clues in the environment that signal the arrival of spring. Besides exploring the grounds, children can try their hand at organic farming, create nature inspired arts and crafts, and exercise their mind and body with interactive games. Each day has a specific theme, starting on Tuesday with Earth Day, Spring Peepers (Wednesday), Wild Night Animals (Thursday) and ending on Friday with Sheep to Sweater. New this year Soule is introducing a Garden Program starting right before the April Vacation Program 9 – 9:30am. Children will get hands-on experience by transplanting, planting and/or harvesting in the Educational Garden and greenhouse. The cost is $2 per day for a member and $3 for a non-member.
