The Pilgrims have landed…again! It’s time for another season of Plymouth Pilgrims baseball and tonight is opening night! The Plymouth Pilgrims Baseball Club brings high-quality wooden-bat, summer collegiate baseball and great family entertainment to the area while preparing collegiate athletes for careers in professional baseball. It’s their second season, and the team will be introducing their mascot Gobbles tonight and there will also be free sandwiches available from Bongi’s. Saturday, June 7th, 2014:
The Marshfield Recreation Department has another “Pickle Ball Demo” from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Recreation Center, 900 Ferry Street in Marshfield. Ned Bangs says he even played it himself and it was fun. For more info, contact the Recreation Department with questions at 781-834-5543.

Today is Plymouth Outdoors Day! The Chamber of Commerce wants you to get outside! Go for a run, or clean up a beach or try geochaching! It’s national tails day and the Chamber has created a route to walk through Plymouth.  But Plymouth has way more than just walking and hiking: there is fishing, swimming, Visit plymouthoutdoors.com for all the details.


Sunday, June 8th, 2014:
Today at 9am, Wingbusters will be holding their annual open house off River Street in Halifax. Bring the kids and try flying an RC airplane. There will be instructors and dual control setups for all who would like to fly. There will also be flight demos of airplanes and helicopters. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The club will also provide free food and drinks for all who attend. Join us for a full fun filled day for the whole family. Rain date for this event will be June 22nd. It’s the 10th annual Nantasket Beach Car show from 9am-3p. Hundreds of classic, antique and modern day cars and trucks will line Nantasket Avenue. Proceeds will benefit Cops for Kids with Cancer. Vendors will be on hand selling wares and there is a 50/50 raffle as well.

Friends of HOPS – Halifax Open Play Space – are hosting a family fun day today at the Halifax Elementary School called Hops for Hops. The day kicks off at 10am with a 1k kids fun run, followed by a 5k at 11am. Family fun follows from 12 -2 including a moonwalk, face painting, balloon twisting and snacks.
