The Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary in Norton is hosting their Annual Easter Egg Hunt this year on April 8, 9, 15 & 16 from noon until 3:00 p.m.! Adult admission is $10, children 2 and over $5. This is ideal for kids 7 and under. Bring your own baskets to the annual fundraising hunts which are a favorite with children and parents. The Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary offers a relaxed, non-competitive hunt, where each child can meander through the tall pines of the beautiful Nature Trail to find colorful eggs at their own pace.  Have fun while you help to support the animals at the sanctuary. Saturday, April 8, 2017:

The 11th annual Kid’s Fitness Festival will be held today, rain or shine, at the Whitman Hanson Regional High School from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be lots of activities, demos, food, and resources. The cost is $5 and the proceeds benefit the Panther Education Trust (a non-profit organization that funds education grants in the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School). 

The South Shore Natural Science Center is hosting their Spring Egg-stravaganza at both 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This program is ideal for kids of all ages, accompanied by an adult. Rabbits, chickens and eggs are a sure sign of spring! You’ll learn how to decorate eggs with natural dyes, enjoy and egg hunt and search for clues that spring is near! Simpson Spring is the site of an Easter Egg Hunt today at 11:30 a.m. Join the Easter Bunny in a hunt for eggs in the Simpson Spring field! Bring your own basket and wear good running shoes! The Rockland Youth Commission is hosting a family fun egg hunt today from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Rockland Memorial Stadium! You must register your little for this event. Each child will collect 10 eggs and turn them in for a goodie bag. There will also be Spring crafts, face-painting and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.  It’s time to read to Dash today at the Hingham Public Library 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Boo is a Shih Tzu, Dash is Great Dane and Luke is a Labradoodle and they are all wonderful, patient listeners who take turns being read to. Today is Boo’s day for a reading session – reading sessions are 15 minutes and suitable for children ages 4 and up.
