The Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary in Norton is hosting their Annual Easter Egg Hunt this year on April 8, 9, 15 & 16 from noon until 3:00 p.m.! Adult admission is $10, children 2 and over $5. This is ideal for kids 7 and under. Bring your own baskets to the annual fundraising hunts which are a favorite with children and parents. The Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary offers a relaxed, non-competitive hunt, where each child can meander through the tall pines of the beautiful Nature Trail to find colorful eggs at their own pace. Have fun while you help to support the animals at the sanctuary. The 11th annual Kid’s Fitness Festival will be held today, rain or shine, at the Whitman Hanson Regional High School from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be lots of activities, demos, food, and resources. The cost is $5 and the proceeds benefit the Panther Education Trust (a non-profit organization that funds education grants in the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School).
The South Shore Natural Science Center is hosting their Spring Egg-stravaganza at both 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This program is ideal for kids of all ages, accompanied by an adult. Rabbits, chickens and eggs are a sure sign of spring! You’ll learn how to decorate eggs with natural dyes, enjoy and egg hunt and search for clues that spring is near! The Rockland Youth Commission is hosting a family fun egg hunt today from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Rockland Memorial Stadium! You must register your little for this event. The Children’s Museum in Boston costs $1 to enter Fridays from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.! Current exhibits include Explore-a-Saurus where you can assume the role of scientist and explore the evidence, the science and the features that make dinosaurs so compelling. You can touch and measure a fossil footprint and learn what clues it gives about a dinosaur’s size.
