Friday, March 16:

Today, admission to the South Shore Children’s Museum at the Hanover Mall is free! The museum, with a goal of cherishing America’s history through education and discovery for children, is open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  https://www.facebook.com/SouthShoreCM/

And at the Children’s Museum in Easton you can make a leprechaun trap today from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Bring a box and the museum will supply the rest of the materials you need. Wear your greens for a special treat! http://childrensmuseumineaston.org

 

Saturday, March 17:

Keep your reading skills sharp by reading to Luke, a gentle and charming Goldendoodle. He is a certified reading and therapy dog. Luke will be at the Hingham Library Saturday and is available for 15 minute sessions on his “listening” days. *Please call the Children’s and Young Adult Department to register for your preferred sitting. Suitable for kids age 4 and up. LUKE’s listening dates for 2018 are: Mar. 17, Apr. 07, May 12, May 19, Jun. 09, Jun. 16. You can call 781-741-1405, ext. 1403 to register for a reading session. 

 

Sunday, March 18:

The annual Scituate St. Patrick’s Day Parade is today right in the Irish Riviera! The parade route has grown 5 times it’s original length since it first began back in 1995! The parade will step off at Gates Intermediate School at 1:00 p.m. For the complete parade route and parking details visit weloveaparade.com. The parade includes many amazing bands and musicians, including pipe and drum and fife and drum bands, too, along with homemade floats and antique cars.

The 39th annual Abington St. Patrick’s Day parade is today, stepping off at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Square (Abington Center at the corner of Orange and Washington Streets). This is a marching and motorized parade full of fun and great music too. For details visit their Facebook page HERE.

Today is a great day to learn to Geocache from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the South Shore Natural Science Center in Norwell! This program is designed for kids ages 5 and up and costs $13 for members and $15 for non-members. You can register online HERE.
