Hanover: Voters pass massive tax override

It was a busy election in Hanover on Saturday, despite a ten percent voter turnout.

Susan Sutterland was reelected to the Board of Selectmen with 583 votes.

A second seat was won by John Barry with 506 votes.

An $8.5 million tax override passed by 40 votes.

The override, which will raise taxes for 10 years in order to pay for major road repairs, was passed 396 votes to 356.

Voters also elected incumbent Kevin Bradley and newcomer Elizabeth Corbo to school committee.
