Marshfield: New Fire Captain sworn in

Marshfield Firefighter, Anthony Boccuzzo, was sworn in as the new fire captain during the Board of Selectmen meeting Monday night.  Boccuzzo is a second generation firefighter. District Fire Chief Kevin Boccuzzo, his father, was there to help pin on the new fire captain badge.

Boccuzzo has been with the Marshfield Fire Department since 1997 and was promoted to Lieutenant three years ago.  Boccuzzo made a point to thank the brave people he works with everyday.

“I’d like to thank the members of Local 2568 that helped me get here and that I count on to do a good job for the town.”

Captain Boccuzzo was sworn in following the recent promotion of Fire Deputy Hocking. He has been the temporary captain since May.
